9 Bible Verses About Comfort – Dealing With Tough Times
We all go through tough times in our life and we must find comfort in the Lord. Here are some Bible verses to help us deal with unfortunate circumstances.
In the Bible you can find many verses that reference that topic of comfort. God is there for us at every turn encouraging us to live our lives in His name. Many times we will have to deal with various forms of grief or loss whether it be a death, attending a funeral, or dealing with someone who committed suicide to name a few. These types of situations often puts us in a state that has us grieving or mourning. As a Christian we should have faith during these difficult times knowing that God provides refuge through His word. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1 Peter 5:6-7
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
