The Bible has several verses that addresses lying and tells us what God thinks about those who do. Deceit is something we need to remove from our life as a Christian.
The following scriptures below deal with the topic of lying. Telling lies is something that people typically do all the time. The Bible has many verses about lying and we decided to highlight just a few. Taken from the King James version (KJV) we get a better understand of what the Lord say about telling lies and why it is a sin.
My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

The are many ways in which people go about lying, it is a form of dishonesty that includes cheating and deception. As a Christian God wants us to be truthful in our walk and be conscious of the words that comes off our tongue and through our lips. We have to live a life of honesty and if we study these verses about lying it will provide a more helpful set of tools to better.
