When we think about giving a typical reaction is to look at it in terms of money. The truth is there are many ways to give and as a Christian we need to work at being more giving in our day to day life. Encouraging a family member is a great way to give, your encouragement or advice can go a long way. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
2 Corinthians 8:12
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
1 Corinthians 13:3
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
