Washington, D.C – The BET Awards aired last week, showcasing both gospel music and The Gospel movie. Among those who received awards were Kirk Franklin (Best Gospel Artist) and Chaka Khan (Lifetime Achievement).

New York, NY – Famed Gospel artist, Donnie McClurking recorded an album with his sisters, Olivia, Andrea, Cheryl, Tanya and ‘sister in the spirit,’ Carol Carter. The album will be released July 25th.

Illinois – JET Magazine has selected Darius Brooks, Grammy Award-Winning artist, songwriter, producer and President and CEO of Journey Music Group (JMG) for its artist spotlight. The issue is currently on stands.
