Ebony Magazine has signed on as the exclusive print partner of The 2006 Super Bowl Gospel Celebration for the second year in a row. Check out the full-page Super Bowl Gospel Celebration ads in the upcoming January and February editions of Ebony plus the editorial spread in the April edition.
In its seventh year, SBGC has drawn thousands and has proven to be one of the most well attended events during Super Bowl Weekend. Each year, guests are entertained by gospel's top artists and hear inspirational messages from some of the NFL's key players. Over the years, the concert has featured musical greats Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Kelly Price, Mary Mary, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kurt Carr, Byron Cage, KiKi Sheard, Kim Burell, Ted & Sheri , Jaci Velasquez and the legendary Dr. Bobby Jones along with NFL greats Cris Carter, Curtis Martin, Kurt Warner, Troy Vincent, Qadry Ismail and Deion Sanders just to name a few. This year's to-be- named line-up will again feature key gospel acts, NFL players and a mainstream artist with roots in gospel.
In addition to its in-book presence, EBONY will provide promotional support, including on-site and Internet. SBGC evolved from NFL players wanting an inspirational-type event during Super Bowl Weekend. It is the first and only gospel concert officially sanctioned by the NFL for Super Bowl Weekend. The event is designed to allow the Super Bowl host city to experience the star-studded weekend with a star- studded family-oriented event.
