“It’s been seven years in the making and I’m excited that the Lord has finally seen fit for me to give birth to this project.” On the full project, Doris has an array of contributing writers, including her MD (music director, producer) Dayton, Ohio native, Minister Keith Leak, Pastor Clint Brown, Apostle John Stevenson (Pastor of Heirs Family Worship in Cincinnati), Gospel Saxophonist Mark Allen Felton (Noel Jones, Della Reese) and herself penning more than ½ the songs. “This will be a TRUE praise and worship project where God’s people will literally be able to meet Him there” Doris stated. “Everyone’s invited to this recording to get into His presence, especially if you’ve never experienced a true refreshing before.”

Some of Doris’ special guests for the evening of the recording are: Pastor Benny Fluellen & The Overflow Ministries Praise Team, The Speak Life Dance Ministry featuring Dawn Satterwhite and her stage hosts, Evangelist Zakia McKinney and singer, songwriter, producer (Jacky Clark-Chisholm), Minister Carnell Murrell from Detroit, Michigan. “It was important to have the right people surrounding me during this project. There was no room for negativity of any kind. People I KNOW supported this effort and were committed to helping me see it through to the end. Friends and family that I know believed in what God was bringing to pass through me. This is an ordained time and season in my life and I just want and need for God to be TOTALLY glorified and pleased with this work.” The Praise Unlimited Choir is an ensemble of friends that Doris has known over the years and hand-picked each singer to be a part of this ministry effort. She was already familiar with each of their vocal gifts and abilities and desired to utilize them corporately to create this angelic, harmonious, rich sound straight out of Heaven. “For me, it wasn’t about having a whole lot of singers, just having the “right” voices! The excitement has just been building and we can’t wait to see what God is going to do that night!”

Doris is also known for her most glamorous and unusual fashion prowess that she so elegantly displays while ministering; most of which she designs herself with cousin Myrle Small of Dayton, Ohio. She is scheduled for three dynamic outfit changes during the recording and she’s not giving any hints as to what they look like. “You’ll have to be there to see for yourself! Although I love clothing and fashion, the recording itself isn’t really about that. The outfits are just something fun to do. It is always about making sure the ministry gets across to God’s people first and foremost. The costume changes are not meant to be a distraction, but an extension of my personality.”

The Saturday, June 24th celebration recording is FREE and open to the public. There will be plenty of FREE parking available on-site. Capacity crowd is expected, so…SAVE THE DATE, come early and get your seat; come prepared to receive and come expecting to be blessed as “Praise & Worship is Unleashed!” The Doors open at 5 pm and the recording begins at 6 pm SHARP!
