NASHVILLE, TN--- EMI Gospel has entered into an exclusive recording agreement with songwriter and musician Darrell McFadden and The Disciples. The Bronx New York twenty year musical veteran is scheduled to release his highly anticipated album I’ve Got A Right January 10, 2005.
Known as one of the hardest working groups in the land, McFadden & The Disciples have a fresh but classic sound that stays close to traditional quartet roots while exploring contemporary musical styles. With three prior releases under their belt they are poised to make a mark in the quartet world with their new release. In the here-today, gone-tomorrow world of popular music, some things still proudly bear the test of time, and few if any genres have shown the vibrancy and staying power of Gospel Quartet music. Darrell McFadden & the Disciples, on their debut EMI Gospel release, I’ve Got A Right, proudly build as well as dramatically expand, on that foundation.
I’ve Got A Right is 11 tracks of a musical explosion. Once its reaches the ear drum, this record has something for everyone to enjoy, from the soulful sound of "Calling Me" to the new school vibe from the smash hit "Be Ready."“ I’ve Got A Right,” the albums title track is a straightforward quartet classic.
Produced by a squad of industry professionals including Gene Peoples and Prathan “Spanky” Williams. McFadden’s release on EMI Gospel is already creating a buzz in the quartet market place.
There is an innovative and accessible approach to McFadden’s music that is making a connection with traditional and new age listeners alike. The connection is being made at McFadden and the Disciples live performances. Earlier this month the 11 member quartet ensemble began touring the southeastern markets. The group is scheduled for several high profile appearances throughout winter of 2005 and the spring of 2006. |
