Monday, 21 November 2005
Xist Records, a division of Xist Entertainment Corporation, is proud to announce its partnership with Alliant Music Group. Xist Records will develop and produce artists, while Alliant will market, manufacture and distribute through its deal with KOCH entertainment distribution.
“I couldn’t be more excited about this joint venture,” says T. Black, CEO of Xist Records. “We get to be creative and develop our vision for Xist and have a solid foundation for our imprint.”
The first artist from the partnership is Sean Simmonds’ album titled “True Story,” to be released on February 21, 2006. The album features production from Kelvin Wooten (Anthony Hamilton, Raphael Saddiq, and Jill Scott), Montrel Darrett (Commissioned, Londa Larmond) and Sean Simmonds. The first single, “Won’t It Be,” was written by Hallerin Hilton Hill (Take 6, Fred Hammond). To listen to the single, log onto www.xistrecords.com
Sean Simmonds, co-owner and president of Xist Entertainment Corporation, is a multi-talented artist, song writer, arranger and producer. His debut album is an inspirational, soul-driven, hip-hop influenced fusion of Gospel music. “I’m elated to know that we have a distribution giant such as KOCH/Alliant in our corner to facilitate our records. There’s nothing better than knowing your message and music will be heard throughout the world,” says Simmonds. “True Story” has already received rave reviews from both media and industry outlets.
Alliant Music Group was formed in 2000 by Gospel music industry veteran, Paul Wright III. The label has become a major force in the Christian music industry with multiple Dove and Stellar Awards from releases such as “Quiet Times Vol. 1-4” “With This Ring Vol. 1&2” and “Kidz Shout.” By signing industry legends such as Daryl Coley and James Grear, and by featuring guest appearances on compilations by Israel Houghton and Fred Hammond, Allliant Music Group has earned its position as one of the top-selling record labels in Gospel Music.
Xist Entertainment Corporation, an urban inspirational entertainment company, is a full service provider of urban-influenced Gospel media including broadcast programming, music, film, and book publishing.
