First Corinthian Baptist Church Blessed with a New Pastor |

The First Corinthian Baptist Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania jubilantly announces the call of our new Pastor, Philadelphia native, the Reverend Dennis E. Thomas. Pastor-Elect Thomas is a graduate of Central High School, Eastern College, and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Theological Seminary).
Reverend Thomas is the former Pastor of the Kaighn Avenue Baptist Church of Camden, New Jersey and most recently served two decades as Pastor of the First African Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia.
Reverend Dennis E. Thomas will serve as the third generation Pastor of First Corinthian, succeeding his grandfather, the Rev. J.W. Thomas and his uncle, the Rev. Silas Thomas. Pastor D.E. Thomas is married to the former Naomi Ruth Walker, a nurse from South Jersey; they have one son, one daughter-in-law and four grandchildren all residing in Richmond, Virginia
Pastor Dennis E. Thomas will preach his initial sermon as Pastor-Elect on Sunday, January 7, 2007. Services are scheduled for 7:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The First Corinthian Baptist Church is located at 5101 Pine Street in West Philadelphia.
