In our walk we are often tempted by the enemy with things that can take us off our path and destiny. Here are some Bible verses to help us deal with temptations.
The following Bible verses are listed to provide a helpful hand in overcoming temptation that crosses our path on an almost daily basis. As a Christian we should study these to memory allowing the scriptures to resonate within. Each verse is taken from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible and can help us deal with the topic.
1 Peter 4:12
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
2 Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
1 Thessalonians 3:5
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Resisting temptation is an ongoing process and through prayer we grow allowing the holy spirit to guide us.
