Tonya Gipson Releases New Project "What He's Done For Me" E-mail
Friday, 03 February 2006
Washington, DC, February 3, 2006-Tonya Gipson delivers a heartfelt, youthful, joyous and spirit-filled praise; on her new project “What He’s Done For Me” this is truly a must have CD. The songs on this project were written by Gipson to impact and change lives. They are meant to bring you to a place of being totally sold out for Christ.

Tonya's for real relationship with God is indicated in songs like "All About Him", "Don't Give Up" and "Today is Moving Day". She also brings attention to the plight of our children with the song entitled "Save the Children".

Gipson remembers the first time she fell in love with gospel music, she was 5 years old and her grandmother, who sang with the choir of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Johns Alabama, pulled little Tonya on stage during a revival. Standing her up in a chair so they could be at eye level with one another, Gipson and her grandmother sang "I Kept on Searching" in near-perfect harmony.   From that moment on, she was hooked and knew this is what she was born to do.
Gipson has had an extraordinary journey from being the wife of an Active Duty US Air Force service member who proudly serves at the Pentagon in Washington, DC to living abroad recording World-Wide with Flying Records such hits as “Forgive-Forgotten”, “Can’t Let You Loose”.  Tonya has performed gospel standards such as "Amazing Grace" in bars and nightclubs across Europe. "It’s a little weird at first," she admits. "But then you see how it touches the people, many of whom can’t even understand the words but still they’ll stand there, crying. They feel the emotions. Gospel Music moves people — all people —beyond the barriers of language.  She has also shared the stage with such Gospel greats as Shirley Ceasar, Andrea Crouch, BeBe Winans, James Bignon, Rev. Timothy Wright, Ricky Dillard, Joe Pace, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence and others.
Tonya Gipson is currently the Praise and Worship Leader at the Bolling Air Force Base Gospel Service at the Bolling Air Force Base Chapel Center, Washington DC.

Gipson’s complete project speaks of God's love for us and I think this artist's motto speaks for itself; “Lord I am available, What can I do for you today?”
