Talented singer/songwriter Patrice Wilson has created a significant impact within the gospel industry. Her debut gospel album, Sacrifice, is filled with stirring tracks and exemplifies Wilson’s deep commitment to sharing the message of hope.
The lyrics also addresses issues that happen to everyday people, touching lives in a significant way. The Texas native, who has been singing since the age of five, relies on her strong vocals to present a refreshing sound.
Tulut Entertainment’s CEO Nathaniel Johnson teamed up with Alvin Williams of the Gospel Music Channel and released Wilson’s album March 15, 2005. Produced by HR Crump (Destiny’s Child, Men of Standard, Shirley Ceasar, and many more), with Wilson’s undeniable gift, and Williams from the Gospel Music Channel, the threesome have released an auspicious feel-good album.
From the hip, “You Care For Me” to the soul-stirring, “Thank You,” Wilson delivers R&B flavored songs, yet conserves a deep message of faith, strength, and worship. The thirteen-track album includes the classic worship song, “Secret Place,” as well as the traditional, “Jesus is Coming Soon.” On the up-tempo “Do You Wanna,” Wilson boldly asks us to set still, believe, and trust in God’s word.
On “We Need You Now,” Wilson expresses how much we need the Lord in our lives, while proclaiming how great God is, on the groovy, “Forever.” The album concludes with My Sheep, a jazzy melodic ballad on following the spiritual Shepherd, our Lord Jesus.
