Gospo Centric Records and B-Rite Music, owned by Vicki Mack-Lataillade and her
husband Claude, was founded by Ms. Mack-Lataillade in 1993 with $6,000 she
borrowed from her fatherıs postal pension. Among her first signings was
three-time GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin, whose albums have sold over 12 million
copies, making him one of the most successful Gospel artists of all time.
In 1995, Gospo Centric was ranked the #4 gospel label in the world by
BillboardMagazine, and by the next year the label was ranked #1,
where it remains today. Gospo Centric and Lataillade are credited with
producing the first gospel Pay-Per-View concert (Kirk Franklin, 1999), the first
gospel video to receive heavy rotation on MTV ("Stomp," Kirk Franklin) and the
first album of all new, original gospel music written for a major motion picture
(Kingdom Come, 20th Century Fox). Moreover, Franklinıs groundbreaking
style and sound has led a revolution among gospel artists, with "Lean On Me"
garnering a GRAMMY nomination for Song of the Year, an unprecedented honor for a
gospel artist.
In addition to Franklin, Clark-Cole, Cage, Helton and Natalie Wilson & the
S.O.P. Chorale, Gospo Centric & B-Rite Music artists include Gold-selling
Stellar Award winner Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, GRAMMY Award-winning
gospel music legend Tramaine Hawkins, Gold-selling Stellar Award winner
Trin-i-tee 5:7, Reggae legend Papa San and GRAMMY Award-winning producer/recording
artist Percy Bady.
All Gospo Centric Records projects are distributed by Provident Music
Distribution and Zomba/BMG Distribution.
