GOSPEL SUPERFEST HEADS TO ATLANTA FOR IT'S FIFTH TELEVISION TAPING SEPTEMBER
26 - 27, 2003

DOTTIE PEOPLES, SMOKIE NORFUL , SHIRLEY MURDOCK AND BYRON CAGE
NASHVILLE-- Pantene Pro-V's new "Relaxed & Natural" present the fourth
TV season of the Gospel Superfest, a family-oriented television
property featuring some of Gospel music's top performers. This year's
production moves to Atlanta, GA for a two-day live recording event to tape
the up coming Holiday, Black History, Easter Jam and Black Music Month music
specials at the prestigious Atlanta Civic Center on Friday and
Saturday, September 26th & 27th. The four, one-hour specials (derived from
the Atlanta sessions) are scheduled to air on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WB
and UPN affiliates in 174 markets including, Los Angeles, New York
City, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Houston.
United Television, LLC recently signed a three-year contract with the
Trinity Broadcast Network to broadcast previous episodes of Gospel
Superfest on the network's 4000+ television stations worldwide. In addition,
United Television, LLC has solidified deals with the ETC Soul on PAX
and The Word Network to air shows during the 2003-2004 season.
Clifton Davis returns by popular demand to host the show. A noted
actor and television veteran, Davis is best known for his role as the
Reverend Reuben Gregory on the NBC hit comedy series, "Amen" and has landed
feature roles in movies such as the box office blockbuster "Any Given Sunday"
and Fox Searchlight Pictures' "Kingdom Come." Headlining the show are
ten-time Grammy winners, Take 6, the multi-award-winning vocalist,
Karen Clark Sheard and the "Hip-Hop Pastor" of Gospel music, Hezekiah
Walker & the Love Fellowship Choir. Radical praise artist, Lamar
Campbell & Spirit of Praise returns to the Gospel Superfest stage for
another incredible, high-energy performance, and the star-studded line up
also features Gospel/mainstream crossover sensations, Shirley Murdock
and Howard Hewitt. Traditional quartet style for Gospel Superfest
5 is represented this year by award-winning artists, Keith "Wonderboy"
Johnson & The Spiritual Voices and the legendary Christianaires.
Known in the Gospel community as The Songbird of the South, Dottie Peoples
& The People's Choice Choir will grace the Gospel Superfest stage
for the third time. Also appearing this year are new female group sensation,
Ramiyah (Columbia /Integrity), newcomers Rizen (Light Records)
and the highly celebrated Freda Battle & the Temple Worshippers (Axiom
Records).
Joining the 2003 Gospel Superfest music celebration is the Prince of Praise,
Byron Cage, virtuoso and gospel diva Vanessa Bell Armstrong and
the multi award winning Smokie Norful. Gospel Superfest has
always included a prominent artist from the city where the show is taped each
year and The New Birth Mass Choir with Kevin Bond will represent a
taste of some the best Gospel music that Atlanta has to offer. Other artists
scheduled to appear include "The Godfather" Reverend Timothy Wright,
Witness, Gary Anglin & Voices of CCC, TWB, Elizabeth Suza, Nu Beginning
Featuring Damon Little and many more. Gospel Superfest is
